General Required Documents for Spain Visa Application

1. Completed Visa Application Form

   • Download and fill out the application form completely and accurately.

   • You may also fill out the Spanish visa application form electronically and then print a hard copy.

2. Photographs

   • Two recent passport-sized photos must be attached.

   • Photos should be a full-face capture with a light background.

   • For photo specifications, see Spanish Visa photo requirements.

3. Passport

   • Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your planned return date.

   • It must have at least two blank pages.

   • Include copies of your previous visas, if any.

4. Return Ticket Reservation

   • Provide a copy of your return ticket reservation.

   • It is generally not recommended to purchase tickets before the visa is granted unless specifically required.

5. Schengen Travel Insurance

   • Must have a minimum coverage of €30,000 valid within Spain and the entire Schengen area.

6. Cover Letter

   • A letter stating the purpose of your visit to Spain along with a detailed itinerary.

7. Flight Reservation

   • Flight details including dates and flight numbers showing your entry to and exit from Spain.

8. Hotel Booking Reservation

   • Confirmed hotel reservations for the entire duration of your stay.

9. Proof of Civil Status

   • Marriage certificate, children’s birth certificates, spouse’s death certificate, or ration card if applicable.
